Parquet Wood Flooring
GENERAL:
The Natural Wood Floor Company has a wide variety of wood species to best suit your personal specification.
A very traditional type of flooring, parquet suits any space in your home, office or commercial premises. Parquet flooring is available in both solid and engineered blocks, meaning that whatever the particular requirement, we have a flooring that will suit any environment.
Parquet woodblocks are supplied as a fixed length, width and thickness so that they can be laid in a patterned formation like herringbone, basket weave or brickwork.
Ideal for all areas, parquet wood flooring can be kept clean with a minimal amount of effort. All finishes have been tested for their durability and resistance to most spillages that may occur. We stock a range of maintenance products compatible for use with all the finishes that we provide, making it easy to periodically renew the floor.

FLOORING TYPES
Parquet woodblock is available for all spaces, providing that the sub-floor is of a flat sheet-like construction, usually concrete or ply wood. Parquet woodblocks are always fitted to the sub-floor using parquet adhesive and can be used in conjunction with some underfloor heating systems due to them being a collection of small stable independent pieces. Parquet can also be used in areas of high traffic levels.
Parquet wood blocks generally come un-sealed as they will need to be sanded after instillation due to the quantity of independent strips.
SPECIES:
We provide a range of species in both solid and /or engineered wood blocks that include ash, merbau, oak, panga panga, walnut and Zimbabwe teak.
FINISHES:
For a floor more tailored to your particular tastes, unfinished flooring can be sanded and sealed on site using either oils for an attractive natural look or clear commercial lacquers for a low maintenance, durable finish.
Only one type of parquet wood block comes pre-oiled as it has an antiqued or distressed appearance and requires no sanding, we do strongly recommend an additional coat of oil after instillation.
