GENERAL:

The Natural Wood Floor Company offers a wide range of floors suitable for all areas including bathrooms. Although most people believe that wood is not suitable, with the right choice and correct maintenance modern wood floors can be a fantastic addition in this area.

HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURES:

Important considerations when choosing a wooden floor for a bathroom are how well the floor can handle fluctuations in humidity and temperatures and continue to maintain its stability and appearance after prolonged used in such an environment.

Traditional hardwood narrow strip solid boards or engineered flooring are available for any bathroom area. Due to its construction, engineered flooring is perfect for use in this location as it is extremely stable in a more humid environment.

SPECIES:

We provide a range of species in both solid and /or engineered flooring which include ash, cherry, merbau, oak, panga panga, walnut, wenge and Zimbabwe teak.

FINISHES:

For finishing purposes both oils and lacquers are equally suitable. Both are micro porous and will protect against reasonable water penetration.

If a pre-finished flooring is preferred an additional coat of finish is recommended.

Finishes for un-finished flooring vary depending on the specific product. We will provide advise accordingly.
