Simple guidelines and tips to keep your wooden floor looking at its best…
o After the last application of top coat, allow 8 hours before walking on the floor and 72 hours before moving in furniture.
o For the first week do not cover the floor with rugs or use cleaning/maintenance products.
o If there are further works to be undertaken, ensure a suitable floor protection is used to cover the finished surface once it has fully cured (no sooner than 7-10 days after the top coat has been applied).
o Vacuum your floor regularly to remove abrasive particles of dirt and dust.
o After one week clean your floor with a damp, soft cloth or mop using a suitable flooring detergent, dilute as appropriate. Never use a dripping wet cloth, too much water can cause the boards to swell or discoloration in the wood grain.
o To remove everyday stains use a detergent suitable for the finish that has been applied to your floor. For stubborn stains use the detergent in its concentrate form.
o If your floor becomes dull and scratched apply a suitable polish.
