Oak is the most popular species for wood flooring where there is a wide range of colours and appearances which have been achieved, from traditional styles to modern contemporary styles.

Oak flooring colours and finishes

There are a number of different finishes:

o Unsealed – requires sanding and finishing after installation

o Pre-lacquered – polyurethane finish

o Pre-oiled – natural hardwax oil

There is a wide range of colours that have been achieved by pre-treatments in either Pre-lacquered or Pre-oiled creating a variety of colours.
